This little slush puppy packs quite the punch. With 100% chance to freeze your opponents, you'll be slowin' and mowin' down the opposition. With the added fire resistance, I'm sure that you will find this weapon to be invaluable in certain matchups.

Now to highlight the changes:

First, we left most of the statistics the same from last year. The only change to the first section was a reduction in ammo; from 6 to 3. With strength increases made to the abilities of the part, we felt the ammo reduction was a necessary balance. This makes the Snow Baller feel like an auxillary weapon useful for delaying your opponent's attacks and buying you time to implement various other strategies.

Next, let's take a look at the ability changes. The biggest change to this part is the increased chance to inflict freeze on your opponent. Originally, this part only had a 15% chance to inflict freeze ailment. That has jumped up to a full 100%. We wanted to guarantee that the ability on the Snow Baller could become part of an effective stategy, rather than simply add a minor chance driven bonus. The fire resistance is completely new and was mainly added for flavor reasons. Having a bucket of snow on hand ought to come in handy for dousing flames.

Finally, the damage and cast time of the part was tweaked in step with the ability strength increases. Originally doing 84-112 damage over 2 seconds, we changed it to do 50-60 damage over 1 second. It does less total damage per use (although higher average damage/second), and instead redirects focus to the freeze rounds with a faster implementation time.

That's it for today's preview Junkies. Tune in tomorrow for something that will surely go down in history...
