NOT Shutting Down

After internal discussions we have decided NOT to shutdown JW. We will be doing a fair amount of server architecture changes to try and reduce the hosting costs to keep it alive for you dedicated players. While this reduces the hosting costs, they still exist and we would appreciate any support through purchase of Oil bundles.

Junk Wars will be closing its doors on November 14th for good. We are simply not able to keep the servers running with the current user base support. It has been a long and fun journey, and we are sad that we have to take this decision. We do encourage you to go check out our new game instead, called Platoonz, currently available on Kongregate.com.

Back.. from the dead!

Dear Junk Wars players.

Catastrophe struck our game. However, after 48 gruelling hours, we are back from the dead. The main database and our recent backups, which were all corrupt, have been reconstructed. Sadly not everyone made it. 33 players lost their accounts. But thankfully the rest of them (about 99.993% or so) were saved.

In the process we've cleaned up a lot of the database, reduced it's footprint; due to this we are reducing the nightly maintenance window from 2 hours to 20 minutes at 0400h EST.

And for those still reading, we sincerely apologize for this downtime, and want to give a gift to everyone who tolerated the outage one full premium box. They should be sitting in everyone's collection screens now. If you do not see it, please refresh your browser.

Development Update!

Dear Junk Wars Players,

It is with a sad heart that today we have to inform you, our devoted fans and players, that due to several recent developments, Antic Entertainment has been forced to take the very hard decision to suspend all further development on Junk Wars at this time. We will continue to be available to lend support to any issues affecting currency or equipment transactions. We hope that in the near future we will have the ability and opportunity to renew our development work on Junk Wars, as we have numerous plans for how to further enhance this game (outside of fixing the bugs). We truly appreciate our fans' and players' continued support, and hope you will continue to enjoy Junk Wars in its current state until the opportunity for Antic to return to develop Junk Wars occurs.

Daily Server Maintenance

Until further notice, daily server maintenance has been scheduled for 4am to 6am (EST). Junk Wars will be unavailable for play during this period. We apologize to those of you affected by this maintenance window.
